Priceline has been adopting policies and strategies that are amenable to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to the environment and the G-20 Climate Action Plan. As a business, we recognize our key role and the responsibility we have in the fight against climate change. We don’t just want to make it easier for everyone to experience the world; we want to preserve a world worth experiencing.
Our Travel Sustainable badge, a global, first of its kind and independently validated recognition program.
The Travel Sustainable badge leverages the first set of attributes validated by the Travalyst Independent Advisory Group. The program aims to provide recognition for properties that are taking steps to operate more responsibly with regards to their impact on the environment and their local communities, while encouraging partners to continue making progress towards the goal of eventual third-party certification, which remains the gold standard in the industry.
To request badge recognition, property management should use Booking.com's extranet to submit which sustainable practices they are following. An assessment is then conducted and if approved, a badge will be added to the listing within two weeks.
The well-being of our customers is at the heart of what we do. We believe that engaging responsibly with the world around us is the key to driving long-term societal value. Running our own operations sustainably is a fundamental pillar of our sustainability strategy. We set high expectations for our travel provider partners and operate our own business according to the same criteria.
